Uber Starts Flight-booking Feature, What you should Know?

According to the business, users in the UK will be able to book both domestic and international flights directly from the Uber app thanks to the new flight booking feature, which is being introduced in collaboration with travel app Hopper. The new feature is a part of a number of new goods that were first revealed last year, expanding the company’s offerings in the UK to include rail and bus tickets, cross-channel train tickets, and more. It will be accessible starting this summer.

The general manager of Uber UK, Andrew Brem, said in a statement, “We’re really excited to provide airline bookings as the latest addition to Uber’s portfolio of travel booking choices. “Our new functionality will make booking and managing air travel straightforward and stress-free, with the booking process taking as little as one minute on the Uber app. It’s perfect for business travelers and holidaymakers alike. With the advent of train, coach, and now airplane bookings over the past 12 months, Uber is now a one-stop travel shop.

Travelers must enter their itinerary information and departure and arrival dates before choosing their flights. According to the business, customers who book a ticket with a significant airline can then select seats on the app and pay similarly to how they would with any other Uber service.

Uber customers will also be eligible for benefits like the Price Freeze feature that are available to Hopper customers.

Customers of Uber in the UK may currently use the app to book a variety of transportation services, including trips on the Eurostar, the Heathrow Express, and, of course, vehicle rides.

Uber’s plans to expand to the United States were not immediately made clear when contacted by Travel + Leisure.
