The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California’s Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel is being transformed into the Pixar Place Hotel, which, once finished, will be the country’s first all Pixar-themed hotel.
Throughout this transition, this 15-story high-rise hotel with a view of Disney California Adventure Park is still accepting overnight visitors.
The Disneyland Resort revealed additional information on amenities and Pixar touches that its visitors will notice as the change progresses, along with the announcement that the reimagining will be finished sometime this winter.

The lobby will start fusing beloved Pixar iconography with the hotel’s modern environment over the coming months. This winter, the Pixar Lamp will be perched atop its ball to greet visitors as they enter the foyer. Visitors will be greeted by a quirky, cheerful mobile that is based on a character that hangs above the newly designed atrium lobby. Characters from classic Pixar movies will be depicted in handpicked artwork oversize at the main desk area.
Overnight visitors will be able to experience a brand-new water play area later this summer that was inspired by “Finding Nemo” and includes a 186-foot-long waterslide and pop-jet splash pad. A family play court will be added to the deck later this year, along with additional activities modeled after Pixar’s well-known short films.
Celebrate your favorite characters from “La Luna,” “Bao,” “For the Birds,” and “Burrow” with interactive activities and creative free play. And when it’s time to unwind, visitors can eat and drink while relaxing beneath the romantic umbrellas from “The Blue Umbrella.”
The ground-floor restaurant at the Pixar Place Hotel will open to hotel guests, theme park visitors, and neighborhood diners this fall. Great Maple, a modern American restaurant with a Southern California location, specializes in playful interpretations of premium comfort food.
The advantages of staying on-property at the Disneyland Resort, such as early park entry to enjoy specific attractions and a special entrance to Disney California Adventure park, along with close proximity to Disneyland park and the Downtown Disney District, can still be experienced by guests with valid park tickets and reservations while the resort is being renovated.
